Client Forum Pro installs right over the free Client Forum and keeps every category, board, thread, post, karma point and setting.
Requirements
- Blesta 6.0 or newer, PHP 8.3 or newer
- ionCube Loader v15 (most cPanel and DirectAdmin hosts have it; ask your host if the plugin won't load)
- PHP GD (profile photos) and fileinfo (attachment checks) extensions
- Blesta's cron running (scheduled announcements)
Upgrading from the free version
- Download Client Forum Pro from your K & K client area under Services.
- Upload the zip to Blesta's plugins folder and extract it, overwriting the existing client_forum folder.
- Go to Settings > Company > Plugins > Installed and click Upgrade on Client Forum. It now shows as Client Forum Pro.
New install (no free version)
Upload the client_forum folder to plugins, then click Install under Settings > Company > Plugins > Available.
Activating your license
- Copy your license key from your K & K client area (Services > Client Forum Pro for Blesta). It starts with ClientForumPro-.
- In Blesta, open Forum > Forum Settings (the Settings tab).
- Paste the key into License and click Save & Check.
You'll see "License is valid. Pro features are on." and the Pro tabs appear: Canned Responses, Moderation Queue, Assigned to Me, Scheduled, Spam Filter and Audit Log.
How licensing works
- The license is checked about every 15 days. If our license server can't be reached, Pro keeps working for 5 more days.
- If a license lapses, the forum keeps running as the free edition. Members never lose the forum, nothing is deleted, and Pro features come back as soon as a valid key is entered.
