Upload the caddie folder to modules/addons/, then Activate it under System Settings → Addon Modules. Tables are created automatically.
2. Configure
Enter your license key, pick who can use the tools, and add your plan URLs for the upsell banners. Optional: a free Google PageSpeed key for Core Web Vitals.
3. Launch
A Tools link and a homepage panel appear in the client area. Monitors run with your existing WHMCS cron; nothing extra to schedule.

Questions Hosting Admins Ask First
Do my clients need a new account?
No. Caddie is a WHMCS tools addon, so it runs inside the WHMCS client area and uses the login your clients already have.
How do the uptime and heartbeat monitors run?
They run with your normal WHMCS cron, about every 5 minutes. For heartbeat alerts within a minute, there’s an optional one-line cron job in the README.
Can I limit the tools to paying customers?
Yes. Choose any logged-in client, clients with an active product, or clients with specific products. You can also switch individual tools off.
Can I change the upsell text or turn it off?
Yes. Each tool’s upsell line lives in a language override file you can edit, and a single setting turns them all off.
Will the tools slow down WHMCS?
No. This WHMCS tools addon only runs a tool when a client opens one, and the background checks run in parallel batches during the WHMCS cron so they don’t hold it up.
What happens if I deactivate Caddie?
Your monitors, short links and history stay in the database, so reactivating brings everything back. Deleting the data is a separate setting you have to turn on.
Do printed QR codes keep working if I change the destination?
Yes. That’s the point of dynamic QR codes: the code points at your short link, and you can change where the short link goes at any time.
Is there a free version?
Not at the moment, but you can try most of the tools for free on our tools site, knkws.dev, before you buy.
