Down, recovered, missed-heartbeat and failure emails go out through Blesta, use your company’s mail settings, show in the client’s email log, and can be reworded under Settings → Company → Emails.

The Blesta tools plugin runs uptime and heartbeat checks as a Blesta automation task every 5 minutes. No extra cron job to add, and you can change the schedule under Settings → Company → Automation.

Safe by default
Every form uses Blesta’s CSRF token, and tools refuse to fetch private or internal addresses, so clients can’t use them to probe your server’s network.
Cleans up after itself
When you delete a client in Blesta, Caddie removes that client’s monitors and short links automatically.

1. Install
Upload the Blesta tools plugin’s caddie folder to plugins/, then click Install under Settings → Company → Plugins → Available. Tables, email templates and the cron task are created automatically.
2. Configure
Under Tools → Caddie → Settings, enter your license key, pick who can use the tools, and add your plan URLs for the upsell banners. Optional: a free Google PageSpeed key for Core Web Vitals.
3. Launch

Do my clients need a new account?
No. Caddie is a Blesta tools plugin, so it runs inside the Blesta client area and uses the login your clients already have.
How do the uptime and heartbeat monitors run?
As a Blesta automation task every 5 minutes, through the cron job Blesta already needs. Heartbeat failure pings are handled the moment they arrive.
Can I limit the tools to paying customers?
Yes. The Blesta tools plugin lets you choose any logged-in client, clients with an active service, or clients on specific packages. You can also switch individual tools off.
Can I change the upsell text or turn it off?
Yes. Edit each tool’s upsell line in the Blesta staff area under Tools → Caddie → Tools, or turn them all off with one setting. No language files to edit.
Can I reword the alert emails?
Yes. They’re normal Blesta email templates in the “Caddie” group under Settings → Company → Emails.
What happens if I uninstall Caddie?
When you uninstall this Blesta tools plugin, monitors, short links and history stay in the database, so reinstalling brings everything back. Deleting the data is a separate setting you have to turn on.
Do printed QR codes keep working if I change the destination?
Yes. The code points at your short link, and you can change where the short link goes at any time.
I already own Caddie for WHMCS. Is this the same license?
No. Caddie for Blesta is a separate plugin with its own license, built natively for Blesta 6.
Is there a free version?
